Integration Using SAP API and Cloud Platform Integration
SAP Commerce can be integrated with other SAP applications using SAP Cloud Platform Integration. Below list presents integration options available using SAP Cloud Platform Integration:
- SAP Back-End Integration: SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, or SAP CRM
- SAP S/4HANA Service Integration
- SAP Sales Order Simulation Integration
- SAP Cloud for Customer Integration
- SAP Customer Engagement Center Integration
- SAP CPQ Integration
Editing and movement of all components, including navigation is possible via Advanced edit. This perspective can be provided to content managers who are making more complicated, custom or conditional changes.
Cloud Platform Extension Factory (Kyma)
The SAP Cloud Platform Extension Factory will be the key extensibility layer for the SAP C/4HANA suite. It is build on top of the concepts and innovations from project Kyma. In the future it will be integral part of the SAP Commerce Cloud Platform. It provides a selection of cloud-native projects glued together to simplify the creation and management of extensions. It was introduced in 1811 release and is still in the preview stage.
SAP Commerce, data hub
While the use of integration APIs with SAP Cloud Platform Integration is the way of integration promoted by SAP, the SAP Data Hub still plays a very important role. There are many pre-built integrations with SAP applications (for example with SAP ERP). This way of integration is still enhanced with with new releases and support from SAP.
SAP App Center
The SAP App Center is a marketplace where you can find ready to use integration extensions for some trusted 3rd party solutions (for example payment provider integrations). The App Center is typically used for common integrations such as payment, tax and enriching the customer experience.
ImpEx
Import and export scripts (ImpEx), can be used to store and retrieve data from SAP Commerce Cloud solution. ImpEx besides of helping setup test data during development can be used to integrate data. In the integration scenario ImpEx must be generated in the 3rd party system and executed automatically for example using CronJobs.
